3 EASY WAYS TO SUPPORT YOUR FAVORITE SURF SCHOOL & SURF SHOP
Mid March we closed our Surf School and Surf Shop at La Jolla Shores temporarily to keep our staff, customers and students save during this pandemic. While we are still being closed, we received so many positive requests of how you could help and keep supporting Surf Diva. With this in mind we worked out a few things. Read on for the Top 3 of how you can support Surf Diva Surf School & Surf Shop, but also ALL your favorite local businesses.
1. BUY A GIFT CERTIFICATE
While you can’t visit us in person right now, a gift card is a win-win-situation. By purchasing a gift card for surf lessons, rentals or to shop in the store you help us get some sales in the books and you have something awesome to look forward to in the future. Most local businesses offer gift card purchase options on their Facebook, Instagram or directly on their website. We set up an online option to purchase Surf School gift cards for you right HERE. 2. RESCHEDULE OR FREEZE YOUR SURF LESSON, SURF CAMP OR CLINIC
These are uncertain times and new to all of us. At Surf Diva Surf School all private lessons, clinics and surf camp reservations will be put on freeze until we reopen. A credit will remain on your account for any booked services. We truly appreciate your support and shout a big MAHALO for not cancelling your future surf lesson, camp or clinic with us. Most local businesses will be able to reopen, sooner or later, and will likewise appreciate their customers keeping credits, instead of cancelling.
3. GIVE YOUR FAVORITE LOCAL BUSINESS A SHOUT-OUT ON SOCIAL MEDIA
This is the time to connect and support your favorite surf shop, Italian restaurant (Hi Osteria Romantica!), hair dresser, massage therapist or nursery with a shout-out on Social Media. Spreading the word, that a business is still there and sells gift cards, offers take-out services or has limited hours is gold in times like these. Surf Diva’s Izzy Tihanyi and her daughter Annabelle launched the famous Surf Diva “Pop-Up” Challenge during lockdown. Almost everyday the two go live on Instagram at 6:05pm. Every day they add one more pop-up! And it’s been quite a while now… Famous instructors such as Scooby-Steve, radio-host Chris Cantore (Cantore & Woods at 94.9) or Costa Rica surf retreat Diva Yassy were already official guests.
