SURF INSTRUCTOR

(Starting at $16.30)

Responsibilities:

Surf Instructors will be asked to provide on-land and in-water surf instruction after receiving in person Surf Diva training. Instructor applicants must be available to work weekdays and/or weekends. Applicants must be outgoing have lots of patients. Applicants must commit to a minimum of 20 hours/week in the summer months, for the entire season. No prior teaching experience required, (but it is a plus!)

Expected schedule:

We teach lessons almost everyday of the year, but most of our lessons happen during weekends, holidays, and school breaks. As an instructor we will need you to be available most of these times.

Qualifications:  

• Enjoys teaching; is enthusiastic and patient
• Skilled surfer and waterperson
• Excellent communicator
• Able to lift and carry surfboards
• Certifications in CPR, Lifesaving, and First Aid (we can help you get certified)

OFFICE SCHEDULER

SALES ASSOCIATE at Surf Diva Surf Shop

• Sales
• Provide surf school information to customers
• Keep shop tidy

EQUIPMENT COORDINATOR & GREETER at Surf Diva Surf Shop

Responsibilities:        

• Handle all rental equipment for surf shop, including: Surfboards, SUP’s, body boards, beach chairs, etc…
• Sales
• Provide surf school information to customers
• Keep sidewalk, street, and shop swept & tidy
• Inventory

• Able to lift and carry surfboards

BEACH Coordinator at La Jolla Shores

(Starting at $16.30)

Responsibilities: 

• Greeting and checking-in people for surf lessons
• Assiging equipment
• Communication with office
• Customer Service
• Beach rentals

EQUIPMENT CREW at La Jolla Shores

(Starting at $16.30)

Responsibilities:

• Beach prep and take down beach for surf camps (physically demanding)
• Drive vehicles

Qualifications:

• Clean driving record
• Excellent communicator
• Able to lift and carry surfboards

INTERNSHIP at Surf Diva office & Surf Diva Surf Shop

(College Credit Only)

Responsibilities:        

Work with various departments at company offices and retail locations.  Internship may include duties such as the following, but are not limited to:

MARKETING: Help film product videos for ecommerce site.

RETAIL: Learn how to work in a retail shop to understand the importance of customer service, merchandising, and inventory supply.

LOGISTICS: Learn how to use scheduling system for students and instructors; answer phones; assist in implementing procedures.
